Dodge R/T stands for Road/Track (Road and Track). It’s a performance level trim you can find across the Dodge lineup. The R/T name has been a part of Dodge for over 50 years and it part of the birth of the American muscle car. It first appeared on the 1967 Dodge Coronet R/T trim, followed the next year by the iconic 1968 Dodge Challenger. Currently, Dodge offers three vehicles with the R/T trim package available:
SRT — Street and Racing Technology — originally started to design and build the Dodge Viper. Since then they’ve focused on performance-oriented vehicles like the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat and Dodge Durango SRT. Like the R/T New London drivers will find this trim level available in the Dodge Challenger, Charger, and Durango. They all feature performance optimized technology and design that gives drivers better control, better handling, and better braking both on the track and on the street.
The R/T trims offer better performance features and specs than any standard trim will offer, but the SRT trims generally offer more in terms of performance. The R/T trims are usually more affordable than the SRT, but at the sacrifice of some of that raw power. All SRT and R/T vehicles include:
